How to Pick Your Wedding Necklace According to Your Face Shape

How to Pick Your Wedding Necklace According to Your Face Shape

Every woman is beautiful in her own way – and here at Treasures by Agnes we have always believed that our jewelry has the power to make ladies feel at their very best, especially on their special day: their wedding.

Of course, you want to make sure you choose wedding accessories that suit you not just from a style-related point of view, but also from a personal and physical point of view.

For instance, do you know what kind of necklace works best for your face shape? If not, we have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • Oval shape. This is the closest to the ideal face shape, so naturally, women with this face shape can wear a wider range of types of necklaces. If you are the proud “owner” of an oval face shape, you are blessed with the power of choosing from a very wide range of options. For instance, if you want to elongate the torso, we would advise a long string of pearls.
  • Round shape. If you have a rounded face shape, you shouldn’t worry - there are so many options for you too! The key lies in always settling for designs that elongate your face: designs that are straight and geometrical. It is highly advised that you stay away from very large necklaces, especially if they aren’t paired with a necklace.
  • Square face. Madonna, Marilyn Monroe, and many other famous ladies have square shaped faces – and oh, how stunning do they look! The secret with this type of face lies in counter-balancing the square shape of the face with my own round ape - you need dainty pieces of jewelry that show off your delicacy and femininity in a graceful and elegant way.
  • Heart-shaped. Although relatively easy to “work with” the heart-shaped face needs a bit of attention to detail too. Our advice is to focus on necklaces that have curves in them (because this will reduce the “elongation” of the face). For instance, a bateau wedding gown neckline will look stunning with a collar necklace!

2019 Will Be an Amazing Year for Bridal Accessories: Here’s Why

2019 Will Be an Amazing Year for Bridal Accessories: Here’s Why

November is here – and that means the end of the year is rapidly approaching. Aside from the holiday season (which we all love), the end of 2018 also brings with it a new beginning in the world of weddings: a whole new wave of trends shaping up and taking over the bridal universe.

Here at Treasures by Agnes, we think it’s going to be a truly amazing year for bridal accessories. Why?

We have gathered some tips you might want to know right below – so read on and find out more.

unique bridal accessories

  • Simplicity will be the new luxury. Everywhere you look for wedding gown trends in 2019, one motif stands out: simplicity. We’re back to the wedding dresses of the late 90s and early 2000s when simple cuts and simple patterns were everything. Expect to see almost bare wedding dresses pop everywhere, in a myriad of cuts and designs meant to suit different body shapes and sizes. Expect simplicity to be the highest form of bridal elegance in 2019 – just like it was with Meghan Markle’s wedding gown!
  • Why is this great for wedding accessories? Because the simpler your dress is, the more you can go over the top and make a huge statement with your wedding jewelry. Just imagine yourself wearing a very simple satin wedding gown and a pair of rose gold statement earrings to complement it – isn’t that a stunning combination?
  • The second big trend we’re seeing take off for 2019 consists of luxurious fabrics. Satin and silk seem to be making a really big comeback next year – so you can definitely expect more and more brides to re-embrace the beauty and opulence of these fabrics.
  • How come this is great for wedding jewelry? Because luxury attracts luxury. A soft silk wedding gown is bound to look marvelous with wedding accessories that truly emphasize its simple luxuriousness – such as crystals, rose gold, pearls, and other true classics of the bridal jewelry world. You’re bound to shine with elegance and beauty if you follow this year’s trends!

How to Choose the Ideal Pair of Earrings for Your Wedding

How to Choose the Ideal Pair of Earrings for Your Wedding

Picking a pretty wedding gown is important for pretty much every bride to be.

What about the accessories, though? How will you adorn your stunning wedding dress to make it pop with style and personality?

Earrings are a very important part of your bridal look – so we thought we could pull together some of the most important tips to help you choose the earrings that will create the perfect look on your wedding day.

How do you do that? Read on and find out more.

  • Consider the shape of your face. We’re nobody to tell anyone what to wear and what not to wear – because, oh well, at the end of the day, each person is different and they like different things. However, you might want to consider the shape of your face when choosing your earrings. For instance, large loop earrings may not look as good on a round face as they do on an oval one.
  • Consider your hairdo. Will your hair be down or pulled up in a hairdo? If you pull it up, we suggest choosing a pair of statement earrings that really makes your face shine with grace and elegance. Of course, you should also consider the precious metal of your wedding jewelry if you want to make sure it really suits you well.
  • Consider your wedding dress. Is your wedding gown very intricate and detailed? Then you might want to choose a pair of earrings that is simple and low-key. If your wedding dress is simpler, you can definitely go for a more intricate pair of earrings. Furthermore, if you have a high-neck wedding dress with details around the neck, you might want to consider the option of a very small pair of earrings that don’t pop as much.
  • Consider your other jewelry. Wearing both a very intricate necklace and a very long, detailed pair of earrings might not be the best idea (and even more so if your dress is detailed as well). In general, try to keep it as well-balanced as you can and create a look that’s elegant, but not over the top.

4 Tips to Help You Pick the Right Precious Metal and Stone for Your Wedding Jewelry

4 Tips to Help You Pick the Right Precious Metal and Stone for Your Wedding Jewelry

Picking the perfect wedding day accessories is almost as important as picking the actual wedding dress – so you definitely don’t want to leave this as a second-priority task on your list of “to-do’s”.

How do you do that? How do you choose the perfect precious metal and stone for your wedding jewelry?

I’ve gathered some tips to help you with this – so read on and find out more.

  • Know your skin undertone. There are three main skin undertones: warm, cool, and mixed. There are also multiple ways to determine which one you have – but one of the surest ways is to analyze the color of your veins. Are they bluish or purplish? Then it means you have a cool skin undertone. Are they yellow, olive, or green? Then it means you have a warm skin undertone. If you see both types of veins, it means you have a mixed skin undertone.
  • What does this mean? Well, people with cool undertones look better when wearing silver, white gold, and platinum, whereas people with warm undertones look better wearing yellow gold, rose gold, or copper shades. Those with mixed undertones can usually wear both – but this depends on a lot of other factors (for instance, some mixed undertone ladies look excellent with silver and rose gold, but so much with yellow gold and copper). When not sure, test it out: get a piece of yellow gold/ white gold/ rose gold jewelry next to your face’s skin and see which of the options makes you shine.
  • How about the stone? Well, the stone of your wedding jewelry should follow the same basic “cool toned/ warm toned” rule. However, if you want to match your stones with your flowers, with your wedding colors, or if you simply want to make your jewelry double as “Something Blue”, that’s fine. In the end, there’s an almost endless variety of ways you can combine precious metals and stones – and you can definitely find a design that makes your best features pop with elegance, grace, and femininity!

4 Essential Tips to Keep in Mind for Perfect Wedding Day Accessorization

4 Essential Tips to Keep in Mind for Perfect Wedding Day Accessorization

As a bride, you want to look nothing less than flawless on your Big Day – and that’s more than understandable, given the huge pressure on your shoulders to create the perfect wedding (and, consequently, the perfect wedding look as well).

Of course, your wedding dress is hugely important when it comes to creating the perfect bridal appearance. However, you should definitely not forget about your bridal accessories either!

Following, we have gathered some of the most important tips to keep in mind for the perfect wedding day accessorization – so read on and find out more.

  • Consider the color of the dress and match it with the color of the precious metal. For instance, rose gold is very trendy right now, and it looks utterly luxurious and amazing, but it might not look great if your wedding dress is very Both rose gold and yellow gold look better with off-white, cream, champagne, and slightly golden options – whereas white gold, platinum, and silver look better with cooler shades of white.
  • Consider your wedding gown’s neckline. This design detail will dictate the type of necklace you should wear, the type of earrings you should wear – or if you should wear any at all. For instance, if you plan on wearing a halter top wedding dress, you might want to keep it very minimalist with the accessories around the neck area (meaning both necklace and earrings). You can, however, wear a nice bangle around your wrist.
  • Consider your style. Obviously, you want your wedding day accessories to suit you before they suit anything else. So, if you know you like a certain kind of jewelry (e.g. vintage-inspired or minimalist), wear what you like. At the end of the day, your bridal jewelry is there to help you shine as you walk down the aisle and celebrate this huge life event – it shouldn’t overshadow your personality, and it shouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable in any way. Wear the jewelry that YOU love and you will feel drop-dead-gorgeous!
